These are my son's favorites shoes; he wore them everyday for 3 months until he grew out of them and they are still in great shape. They are way too small now but he still keeps digging them out of the closet and trying to put them on. I wish they made them in larger sizes so that I could order him another pair.

I don't usually post reviews but felt compelled to do so with these shoes. We bought them for my son's first birthday - we liked them in the store but they didn't have his size. Anyhow, after the first wearing, the Ernie on the tongue was all scratched up - the Velcro chewed it up. Second time my (not yet walking) son had them on, the stitching on the side started to unravel and the printing on the arms started to fall off! The last straw was when my son was pulling the black hair off and trying to eat it. Before returning then to Amazon, I contacted Stride Rite to see if they would make thing right - they couldn't care less - sent me a form letter to simply return in. These shoes (at least the pair I got) are junk - too bad really, they are super cute. Great service from Amazon as always.

This is a good shoe for a toddler, but... Ernie's striped sleeves (the arms that make up the straps) have peeled off with a few of weeks of light use. Stride Rite makes good shoes and except for the weird peeling issue, these are no exception. They have the right flexibility needed for a new walker's shoe. We have gotten TONS of compliments on them. But, I'm annoyed that the stripes peel off and a bit concerned that the peeling parts are going to end up in my toddler's mouth. I wish they'd secure the stripes better, the straps themselves are fine. Oh, I also needed to mark "L" and "R" inside the shoes for our own sanity because there is very little differentiation between them unless you look closely at the soles and in the beginning we were putting them on the wrong feet. That may just be the way little shoes are, but thought I'd mention it.
